| When I was seven years-old, my father helped me purchase my very first camera, a 126 (brand I don’t remember) and I began shooting everything with it! I seized every moment, even when the subjects got angry with me for intruding. I never stopped. Through thirty-five years I have enjoyed the picture taking of others as well as my own efforts. We learn from each other about the inner-eye of the artist- photographer capturing the essence of the subject. Today I own several different cameras, lenses, and special photographic equipment allowing me to work creatively with light and shadow for the most natural composition. Photography is an art, which I have thoroughly appreciated much like life itself. My parents instilled within me a sense of duty to use the gifts with which I have been blessed to contribute to the wholeness and happiness of others as well as myself. I want to follow their example in my photography by treating others as I want to be treated, being there for those who seek my expertise, and using my talents in thanks- giving to God, the Creator of all that is. One of my most humble joys is seeing someone look at and be thrilled by the pictures I have shot of their family ~ infants to elders, special occasion portraits, the interior/ exterior of their home environments, domestic pets, wildlife, sunrises & sunsets, and a myriad of special request shots. My pleasant home studio mirrors my Native American heritage and is surrounded by magnificent pine trees of various species and sizes. Upon waking one morning, I looked out my window at the thick fog enveloping those pine. I could not see the trees; yet, I knew they were there amidst the mist. MISTY PINE PHOTOGRAPHY is my venturing into the magical fog of the professional photography field. I know I have the desire, the experience, and the talent to discover the hidden in the mist. I know I have all that I need to please my clientele. I know that it is my joy to bring joy to others and myself through the art of photography.
